Desktop filament winding machine

Filament winding is an automated method for creating composite structures by winding filaments under tension over a rotating mandrel (tool). The fibre placement is guided by a machine with two or more axes of motion, as can be seen in the simple schematic diagram below. Filament winding a used to manufacture a range of products such as pipes, pipe joints, drive shafts, masts, pressure vessels, storage tanks etc. There are a number of different types of filament winding machine that are best suited to manufacturing different type of components.

The desktop filament winding machine is a new design by our company, which is a type of different winding machines. The desktop winding machine operates with a mandrel of diameter 250mm and length 600mm, the overall dimension of the machine is not exceed 2m, due to its small size, it is particularly suitable for use in laboratories or for research and development purpose. The desktop filament winding machine has following features:

1. It has 2 axis type and 4 axis types. 2 axis motion desktop winding machine is best suited to the manufacture of pipes only; 4 axis motion machine is best suited to the manufacture of pressure vessel, such as LPG, CNG cylinder.
2. It is controlled by integrated winding software
3. It is suitable both of carbon fiber and glass fiber spool
4. It equipped with tension control system, which can provide constant tension.
